Just bought a new Mazda3 (Select Package) and even though Apple Carplay was advertised as a feature, I can not for the life of me figure out how to actually enable it. Android Auto works without issue which is great for me because I have a Galaxy S10, but my dad's iPhone 6S simply seems incapable of triggering the application.
CarPlay came out in 2019 for the Mazda 3. I had to do two things. 1.Have the most up to date firmware. 2. Buy an adapter from the dealership and install it. I bought some tools on Amazon to take apart the dash. It was very nice easy. They intentionally made this kit to fit the older model cars to upgrade them.
