2022 5.7L Chrysler 300 takes 7 quarts (6.6 liters) of 5W-20 oil with filter. The oil must be SAE 5W-20 for vehicles with a 5.7L engine. If you don’t use it, the Fuel Saver Technology won’t work properly. Engine oils that do not have both the engine oil certification mark and the correct SAE viscosity grade number should not be used.
Three versions were initially offered. The first was a rather underwhelming 3.5-litre V6 petrol model, while of far more interest was a lusty 5.7-litre 'Hemi' model, so named because of its hemispherical combustion chambers. The most relevant engine, however, was a 3.0-litre CRD common rail diesel that Chrysler had purloined from Mercedes.

Warm up the transmission, wait at least 2 minutes and check the oil level with the engine running. Push the Oil Dipstick 9336 into transmission fill tube until the dipstick tip contacts the oil pan and pull out again, read off oil level, repeat if necessary. NOTE: The dipstick will protrude from the fill tube when installed.
